The Philadelphia-based telecommunications company, Comcast®, will reportedly close its Staunton service center on December 07, 2018. The customers of the fastest internet provider who want to visit a service center will need to go to the location at 160B N Mason Street, Harrisonburg.

“With more of our customers going online and using mobile apps to interact with us, we’ve worked to expand these options, including online account management, electronic payments, the ability to order equipment through the mail to self-install and drop-off equipment at The UPS Store locations,” stated Comcast® spokesperson, Eliza Findlay. “As a result, customer use of the Staunton service center has been steadily decreasing.”

Other ways Comcast® customers can receive service or pay their invoice amount comprise the following.

    • Visiting My Account section in the XFINITY® website, or using the Xfinity My Account application installed on compatible devices. It can be installed on Android platform and Apple’s devices.

    • By calling the number 1-800-XFINITY® and/or at any 7-Eleven or Western Union
  • The customers can return equipment at The UPS Store nearby their area. Reports say it will ship the equipment back to the cable provider at no fee.
