Cox Enterprises Promote Jon Gamble As Assistant Vice President Of Benefits

Cox Enterprises recently announced that Jon Gamble is being promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President of Benefits for the company. Jon Gamble will have to report to Cody Partin, who is the Vice President of Benefits, Compensation and Human Resources Technology Services.

Partin said, “At Cox, employees are our number one resource, Jon does a tremendous job leading our health benefits and retirement plans. These benefits are key to attracting and retaining the talent needed to facilitate Cox’s growth. I’m thrilled to recognize Jon’s valuable contributions as he continues to grow his career with our company.”

Cox has assigned Gamble with the responsibility to design and administrate health care and retirement plans for 55,000 Cox employees. The retirement plan includes long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, and adoption assistance benefits, in addition to the medical, dental, and life insurance benefits to the employees.

Apart from managing partnership with the health vendors, Jon Gamble also handles benefits integration using company acquisitions and divestitures. Furthermore, the Cox retirement plan team that handles the retirement payroll of the company and ensures compliance and distribution of plan notices are also under the supervision of Gamble. A traditional pension plan, and retiree medical benefits are all included in the Cox retirement and saving benefits.

Gamble previously worked with Delta Air Lines before joining Cox Enterprises in 2005. Since he joined Cox, Gamble has undertaken a number of roles in benefits that are related to health care and retirement. The award winning “Know your Numbers” program is also led by Gamble’s team, which helps Cox employees to understand and improve their physical, mental, and financial wellness.
